Review of The Amish Bachelor - A sweet Amish romance.

The Amish Bachelor, Samantha Price

from Red headed book lover blog

Isaac Fuller knows where his life is headed. He’s the oldest of seven sons and will eventually take over the family joinery business. Everything was fine until his father employed Hazel Bauer. Isaac had nearly committed to Mary Lou, but there was something about Hazel that gave him second thoughts.
When Hazel tells him something shocking about Mary Lou, Isaac has to work out whether there’s another side to Hazel. Is she as sweet as she appears? As Isaac tries to find out more about the mysterious Hazel, Mary Lou pressures him into committing to marriage. With Isaac under pressure to marry, will he make the wrong decision?
Will Isaac choose a girl he has known all his life or the secretive woman he barely knows?
The Amish Bachelor is a novel that can only be described as a sweeping romance but with a suspenseful twist! This book is enchanting and I adored every second of it. It is a charming read that will captivate you from the very beginning, I loved how this novel was told by a man as opposed to a woman. Normally, all the romances I read are from the female perspective! So I adored so much that the author of the novel, Samantha Price decided to write a romance from a male perspective.
The Amish Bachelor follows, well, an Amish bachelor! Isaac Fuller is the oldest of 7 brothers and great things are ahead for him. He is set to marry a sweet, kind woman called Mary Lou and he is destined to inherit the family business in which he will run. However, things soon start to get complicated as his father has other ideas. His father has employed a young woman called Hazel to do the bookkeeping for the family business. Hazel is a mysterious woman and questions need to be answered but something is starting to ignite between Hazel and Isaac and this could prove disastrous for all parties involved and this is the premise of this wonderful, thought-provoking novel.
The story of The Amish Bachelor is a sweet one but as I read this I also felt a sense of dread because I had no idea what was going to happen and where the story would end up. This is because when Hazel is introduced to the picture, things start to go wrong in the sense that Isaac starts to doubt the lovely Mary Lou. When Hazel appeared I thought “Damn… really?! Please do not let this woman corrupt him”. It truly does make for a thrilling read and if you adore romances with complicated themes then you will adore this incredible book.
Samantha Price is a newly discovered author of mine and I am so annoyed that I have only just now discovered her! She is a wonderfully talented author who is well accomplished in the genre of romance. This is the first book of hers I have read but gosh I need to read more! I want to get lost in more of her incredible, different stories. Her writing is simply breath-taking and for that, I am in awe; her descriptions of the settings and characters around her are visually descriptive and stunning. The whole way through reading this book I felt compelled, I was addicted to the story-line and so desperately wanted to reach the end to find out what was going to happen! This is a testament to Prices’ flawless and eloquent writing and I really am looking forward to what she writes next.
To summarize my thoughts on this sweeping romance, if you adore sweet books with depth that will stay in your mind for a long time then this inspiring book is for you! This stunning piece of literature gets Five Stars from me.
